Happy Times

Hang time in the boppy

Don't you love sleeping babies?
Is she already telling me to "speak to the hand"?

Hanging out in the garage near the "man fridge"...daddy would be proud.

Easter Egg Hunt and More...

Elijah talking to his baby sister...he can't quite say Savannah
so he calls her Fina (I wonder if the nickname is going to stick).

Our little peanut...

At the church Easter Egg Hunt...notice how he
has to carry his basket...yes, he walks around with his arm up like that!!! :)

We did a little Egg Hunt of our own in the backyard.

He's thoroughly enjoying his Easter cupcake...
he looks like a chipmunk with his cheeks full of
yummy goodness.

Savannah Joy Ward

After my last post, I went into labor that evening...I guess that's what I get for pouring out my sob story...

It's taken me a couple days to feel up to getting the blog updated, but Savannah Joy was born on 3/6/2008 (which was her actual due date!).

I went into labor around 6 pm and she was born right before 6 am. The labor experience this time was much more peaceful and calm. Not so scary... I think delivering at a different hospital was the key! It went much quicker than last time as well. She looks just like Elijah did as a newborn but has TONS more hair...I think if it weren't for the hair, they would practically look the same.

We've been home for 3 days now and doing well. I'm going through the normal emotional ups and downs and recovering fairly quickly with only a few minor bumps in the road. But considering it's only been 3 days, I'm feeling great.

Phil is being such a huge support and my parents have been here to help. Elijah loves to kiss his sister and I think is starting to get used to the fact that she's going to stick around.

I'm encountering an error message every time I try and upload pictures...so they'll have to wait, sorry!!! I'll try again tomorrow.
